Stanford is the top-scoring institution for sustainability in higher education not only for its research and curricular offerings, but also because of its campus operations. To learn how Stanford has reduced its carbon emissions by 80%, Sustainable Stanford and Explore Energy welcome Forum participants to tour the Central Energy Facility as well as a visit to nearby sites including the GS Microgrid, and O’Donohue Educational Farm.
Meet at the Stanford Central Energy Facility. Searsville Parking Lot (L-22) is the arrival point for both Open House sites.
Free Marguerite Shuttles circulate around campus every 15-20 minutes with live updates on this site for Route X (Counter-clockwise) and Route Y (Clockwise). Both stop at Searsville Lot.
Both Open Houses are followed by an invitation on guided walk 5 minutes to a buffet at Ricker Hall ($15) for dinner or lunch, where networking and engagement with campus residents can continue.
